Dumbbells and kettlebells
Hex dumbbells with rubber heads do not roll and are kind to a floor. Full sets come with or without a rack, and the rack is worth it once you own more than four pairs. Adjustable dumbbells save space, but changing the weight takes longer than grabbing the next pair.
The kettlebells here have plastic shells over a cement fill. They are lighter on the hands and the floor than cast iron, but bigger for the same weight, and the handles are wide.
